The degree sits in the School of Humanities and Behavioural Sciences: a compulsory core of eleven courses, with tracks in organisational psychology, health and performance, forensic psychology, or general.
Introduction to psychology across two courses, then social, cognitive, personality and positive psychology, with mental health and well-being in Singapore.
Research methods, statistics and data analysis, applied methods and statistics, then honours-level design. Stacked as prerequisites, taught with R and SPSS.
Organisational, developmental, health, cultural and forensic psychology, work stress, emotion, trauma and personnel selection. Several are explicitly situated in Singapore.
The capstone project runs across two semesters and asks for independent inquiry written up as a research report, with psychometrics, qualitative research and applied social psychology alongside it.
SUSS publishes course synopses, topics and outcomes publicly, but not the assessment split, so any site quoting a percentage took it from one semester's brief. Your Canvas brief decides.
Formatting rules that carry marks on their own. The SUSS library runs an APA guide on the seventh edition and names psychology among the disciplines using it.
Five levels, each with its own format. Use them in order from level one, and the introduction never gets a heading. Headings are not numbered.
Level one centred and bold, level two flush left and bold, level three flush left, bold and italic. Levels four and five indented, running into the text.
Data needing only two or fewer columns and rows belongs in the text. Tables carry only the borders needed for clarity, no vertical lines.
A figure number is bold, a table title is italic. Notes run general, then specific, then probability.
Participants rather than subjects, in the active voice. Exact ages or ranges rather than broad categories. The singular they, identified rather than preferred pronouns, and race and ethnicity capitalised.
APA asks for the nation or region of origin rather than a continental label. So calling Singaporean participants Asians is what the guide tells you not to do.
“Asian participants tend to show higher collectivism scores, and this study examines whether that holds among Asians in the workplace.”
A continental label standing in for a population: a region of four billion people as one group.
“Participants were Singaporean working adults, the majority Chinese Singaporean, with smaller Malay and Indian Singaporean groups. Findings are discussed in relation to studies conducted in Singapore rather than to pan-regional samples.”
Nation named, groups specified, generalisation limited to what the sample can support.
In a fixed shape: the italicised symbol, degrees of freedom in brackets, the value, then the exact p value. Means and standard deviations take one decimal, correlations and test statistics two.
t(32) = 2.94, p = .006
Independent-samples t test. Only the degrees of freedom go in brackets. Two decimals on the test statistic, three on an exact p value, and p < .001 below that.
F(2, 78) = 4.58, p = .013
ANOVA. Between-groups degrees of freedom first, then within-groups. An F can exceed one, so it keeps its leading zero.
r(357) = .42, p < .001
Correlation. No leading zero, because a correlation cannot exceed one. Degrees of freedom are the sample size minus two.
χ²(1, N = 90) = 0.89, p = .345
Chi-square. Degrees of freedom and the sample size go in brackets, the part students leave out. The Greek letter is not italicised, but the N is.
M = 19.2, SD = 3.5, 95% CI [0.60, 1.02]
Descriptives and intervals. One decimal place for means and standard deviations. Report a confidence interval for your effect size where the brief calls for it.
p=0.006, r = 0.42, F(2,78)=4.58
Four errors in one line. No italics, a leading zero on a p value and a correlation, missing spaces around the operators, and no space after the comma.
A department teaching page puts it plainly: if a paragraph has nearly as many numbers as words, the table is the right home. Do not repeat it in the text.
As four separate jobs, often with four separate mark allocations. One SUSS introductory brief splits its marks almost evenly, so budget your words equally.
Move from the general problem to the specific gap in five steps: why the area matters, what prior research says, what is unresolved, how your study addresses it, and your hypothesis.
Participants, materials, design and procedure, with a scoring subsection where needed. The test: could a reader run your study again from what you have written?
Descriptives first, then inferential statistics, with effect sizes and intervals where relevant. Statistics are presented here and discussed in the next section, and every result refers back to a hypothesis.
Relate the results to your hypotheses, then to previous literature and theory. Address limitations and generalisability, and propose a follow-up study.
Because you organised by study rather than by idea. Writing guidance gives the symptom: a bad sign when every paragraph begins with a researcher's name.
Lim (2019) found that sleep duration predicted exam performance in undergraduates. Tan (2021) found no such relationship in a working-adult sample. Chua (2022) found a relationship but only for students reporting high stress.
Three true sentences, three names at the front, and no idea connecting them.
Whether sleep predicts academic performance depends on who is being studied. The relationship holds in undergraduate samples (Lim, 2019) but disappears among working adults (Tan, 2021), and re-emerges when stress is high (Chua, 2022), which suggests the effect is moderated rather than absent. That is what this study tests.
Same three sources, one claim, the disagreement foregrounded, and a hypothesis the reader can now see coming.
Sections that present themes or identify trends, each building toward your hypothesis. Studies arrive as evidence inside a theme.
A review identifies disagreement and summarises what is and is not known. Conflicting findings are the most useful material you have.
The last paragraph should make your research question feel inevitable. If it could be deleted without the review changing, the review was not built around it.
A hypothesis sits at the end of your introduction, predictions follow from it, and every line in your results points back to one. A research question cannot be falsified by a p value.
The applied methods course lists hypotheses and logical consistency as a topic in its own right, alongside assumption testing and confounds.
Write your results headings from your hypotheses before you analyse anything. Anything that does not fit one is a missing hypothesis or a missing reason.
Does stress affect how well students sleep?
Students who report higher stress will report shorter sleep duration.
Both are valid. The hypothesis version gives you a prediction to test, so your results section has something to confirm or reject.
Psychology work stalls at four places: turning reading into a review organised around an idea, making an analysis mean something, matching results to hypotheses, and APA format.
We work out what the brief is asking, help you state testable hypotheses, and plan the review by theme rather than by study.
A full model report on your brief: a synthesised review, a replicable method, results in APA, and limitations named.
Help running the analysis in SPSS or R, checking assumptions, and saying what the output means in a sentence that survives close reading.
Read as a marker would: results without hypotheses, a review organised by name, statistics missing degrees of freedom, heading levels out of order, over-claiming language.

"You can tell they care. The way they corrected my ethics writeup without being judgmental… very professional. They preserved the meaning while improving the structure."
"Wasn't sure what to expect at first, but wow… their help was super friendly and clear. Guided me on how to handle case studies on elderly care and made sure I included empathy."
"Super chill and understanding team. They gave me tips on how to relate HR theories to my work examples. So down-to-earth and helpful."
"You saved my skin. I had to do a media strategy analysis — which I had zero clue about — and they gave me such good direction. Loved working with them."
You pay for the part you hand over. Planning costs less than writing the report, and an APA check costs less than both.

APA 7th edition. The SUSS library runs its own APA guide on the seventh edition, covering in-text citations, reference lists, formatting, tables and figures, classroom sources and AI chatbots.
As the italicised symbol, the degrees of freedom in brackets, the value to two decimal places, then the exact p value: t(32) = 2.94, p = .006.
No. Leading zeros appear only where the statistic can exceed one, such as t, F and z. So write r = .42 and p = .006, not 0.42 and 0.006. Cronbach's alpha is the same.
With both the degrees of freedom and the sample size in brackets: χ²(1, N = 90) = 0.89, p = .345. The Greek letter is not italicised, the N is, and the same applies to alpha and beta.
APA's threshold is that data needing only two or fewer columns and rows belongs in the text. Beyond that, use a table, and do not repeat the numbers in your prose.
Level one is centred and bold in title case, level two flush left and bold, level three flush left, bold and italic. Levels four and five are indented, bold, ending with a full stop, level five also italic.
Introduction, method, results and discussion, often with separate mark allocations. The introduction funnels to your hypothesis, the method must be detailed enough to replicate, the results present findings without interpreting them, and the discussion relates them to the hypotheses and the limitations.
Because it is organised by study rather than by idea. University writing guidance identifies the symptom: a bad sign when every paragraph begins with a researcher's name. Organise around your research question, in themes.
A hypothesis can be falsified by a result, a research question cannot. State it at the end of your introduction, and make every line in your results refer back to one.
By nation and group rather than by continent. APA asks for the nation or region of origin, so describing Singaporean participants as Asians is what the guide says not to do.
Yes. Research ethics is a named topic in the research methods course and in applied methods and statistics, so it is examinable content. SUSS's research writing notes that review covers social and behavioural research, with risks including psychological distress and privacy harm.
The statistics and data analysis course names both R and SPSS. The honours-level design course covers data cleaning, ANOVA, regression, moderation, mediation and factor analysis, and a level-four statistics course covers regression, factor analysis and machine-learning models.
Four stacked as prerequisites: research methods, then statistics and data analysis, then applied research methods and statistics, then honours-level research design and statistics, with a further statistics course at level four.
The capstone project runs across two semesters and asks for independent inquiry written up as a research report. Its components include a short thesis presentation and an oral presentation, with oral defence a listed outcome.
It depends on the module, the length, whether analysis is involved and how much already exists. The quote comes to you in writing and is fixed before you pay.
